How we handle your data, in plain English.

1. Who we are

Apni Shop operates a local marketplace website and mobile web app, along with a set of free online tools. In this policy, "we" and "us" mean Apni Shop, and "you" means anyone using the website or the app.

2. Data from the free tools

All calculations in the Zakat, currency, salary, gold and age tools happen inside your browser. The amounts, rates and dates you enter are never sent to our servers and are never stored.

3. Account and app data

When you create an account or place an order in the app, we collect:

• Account: email address, name, and optionally a phone number and city
• Shop details (sellers): shop name, address, opening hours, photos and product listings
• Orders: which shop an order was placed with, the items, prices, delivery address and order status
• Messages: chat messages exchanged between a buyer and a shop
• Notifications: a device token used to send push notifications

This information is used to run the service: to deliver orders, connect buyers with shops, and provide support.

4. Where data is stored

Data is stored using Google Firebase (Authentication, Cloud Firestore, Hosting and Cloud Messaging). Product images are stored with Cloudinary. These are established infrastructure providers that keep data on their own secure servers.

5. Cookies and local storage

The website and app use browser local storage and cookies to keep you signed in and to cache app files for faster loading. Without them, signing in and performance would not work properly. You can block cookies in your browser settings, but parts of the app may then stop working.

6. Advertising

The free tools are supported by advertising. In future, third-party advertising such as Google AdSense may be shown on these pages. When that happens, Google and its partners may use cookies (including the DoubleClick cookie) to show ads based on your interests. You can manage or turn off personalised advertising in your Google Ads settings. Advertising is never placed inside payment or checkout screens.

7. We do not sell your data

We do not sell personal data. Information is shared only when necessary: with the shop you ordered from so the order can be fulfilled, with the infrastructure providers listed above, or where we are legally required to do so.

8. Security

Access to data is restricted by Firebase security rules, so a buyer can only read their own orders and a shop can only read its own. No system can be guaranteed completely secure, and we cannot promise absolute protection against every possible incident.

9. How long data is kept

Account and order data is kept for as long as your account exists. You can ask us to delete your account and the data linked to it by emailing mubashar4449910@gmail.com. We act on such requests within 30 days unless we are required by law to keep something.

10. Children

This service is not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their data. If you believe a child has created an account, please contact us and we will remove it.

11. Your rights

• Request a copy of the data we hold about you
• Ask us to correct inaccurate information
• Ask for your account and data to be deleted
• Turn off push notifications

12. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Significant changes will be noted on this page, and the date at the top shows when it last changed.
