Why exact age matters
Job applications, school admissions, visa forms and government documents often ask for your age in years, months and days rather than just years. Working that out by hand across leap years is easy to get wrong, so this tool does it for you.
The calculation counts calendar months rather than assuming every month has the same length, which is why February birthdays and leap days still produce the right answer. Total days are also shown, which is useful for eligibility rules that are counted in days rather than years.
One caveat: your age depends on today's date in your local time zone. Close to midnight, or if your device is set to another region, the result may differ by a day from an official record.

Does it handle leap years?
Yes. Each calendar month is counted with its real number of days, so 29 February is handled correctly.
How are the total days calculated?
The difference between today and the date of birth is measured in milliseconds and divided by 86,400,000, the number of milliseconds in a day.
Can the result differ from official records?
Possible, because the age depends on your local time zone and the exact time of birth recorded.
